We introduce our self as Shivalik Hotel & Resorts on Kasauli road Dharampur, Kasauli (H.P). Kasauli is a place where even time takes a pause to stand still and admire the view of the reserve pine forest and the magnificent valleys which are present all around us Throughout the year our guests breathe intoxicating air, view breathtaking scenery and serenity that can hardly be found elsewhere.

It is just 25 Kms from Kalka and 50 Kms from Chandigarh. The Hotel is surrounded by more than 10,000 bighas of reserved forest and has 50 luxuries rooms that will pamper you with all the modern amenities to make you feel completely at home even while you are away from it. The Premium Rooms, Super Deluxe rooms and Deluxe rooms are all equipped with en-suite washroom, private valley facing balconies, intercom, mini bar, tea/coffee maker, LED Television with satellite channels.

All the rooms are open to valley with their own balconies for optimal privacy. The location is such, that it gives a beautiful view of the rising and setting sun. All rooms are equipped with running hot and cold water around the clock. Shivalik provides extra facilities like 24 hours check-in, Doctor on call, barber on call, travel desk, internet surfing, laundry service, cabs on hire.

Separate kitchen facility is available for package tours, conferences & a banquet hall with a capacity of over 300 Pax seating in theatre style and 150 in a round table setup. The hall is equipped with a projector, sound, collar mic, white board, D.J also other items can be arranged as per your request. It is a drive in hotel with a secured parking facility for more than 50 Cars equipped with valet service. We have a live kitchen serving Indian, Chinese, Continental, Tandoor and Bar-be-cue.

We offer expertise in serving school Picnics, Seminars, Educational Programmes, Tours, Camping, Hiking-Trekking and many other forms of recreation specially for students. We have served many notable school chains like DPS, Queen Mary, Doon, Vidiya Bharti, MPS & Sherwood in India as well as schools like the International Indian School, Jedah and various schools from Dubai, Oman and Muscat. There are many beautiful hills as well as valleys to see like Shimla, Chail, Kasauli, Dagshai, Solan, Sabhathu, Dharampur, Sanawar and Renuka Ji etc. Where you can spend from one to four days through our specialised packages. In and around Kasauli there are a lot of places to see like the world famous about 170 years old Heritage School that is The Lawrence School, Sanawar, The Pinegrove School, world famous CRI kasauli, Mankay Point, the Church of England which around 300 years old, Sunset Point, Upper Mall, Lower Mall, Air Force Station, Sai Temple, Baba Balak Nath Temple on Gunner Parwat, Mansa Devi Temple and the heritage towns of Dagshai & Subathu are the main attractions. In Shimla and Chail there are a lot of heritage properties and points to visit as well. Also Renuka Ji is a place where a natural lake and Lion Safari is worth seeing. We have special guides for the students to take them on Trekking–Hiking. Also we set up evening bonfire, music, dance and dine on the roof top which is one of the main attractions of our Resort.

Down the Lane

The history of Kasauli is as fascinating as the place itself.
The site remained obscured for as long as the 17th century.
The Rajput rulers who had fled their hometowns owing to some political upheavals took refuge here.
In the early nineteenth century, Lord Amherst visited the place for the purpose of promoting its beauty and adjoining areas.
Soon, this rejuvenating place became a popular refuge of British officers.
An upsurge was seen here during the revolt of 1857.

Camping There are many places where camping is allowed. The experience can be really invigorating.
One such place is Dagshai and is a fantastic place for spending time outdoors.
Nature Walks Like any other hill station, Kasauli is ideal for nature walking and satisfy your wanderlust in a fantastic way. The scenic beauty adds to the charm. One of the famous walks that you can also opt for starts from Lower Mall and gets completed at Kimmughat. Alternately, you can also follow Old Kasauli road that takes you upto Parwanoo. But the best walk that will allow you to gather some of the most cherishable moments of your life is that connects Sanawar to Mandudhar.
Trekking As is common for a hill station, trekking is a feasible option for tourists. The famous trek that leads you from the destination to Jabli is about 9 kilometers long. All along the trail, you will be able to enjoy the panoramic sceneries and nature at its best.

One of the best property around.. We use to go to Kasoli every 2 month & we use to stay at this place only. As our son Yash is studying at Pinegrove School(Boarding ) near Shivalik Hotel.

Kalka–Shimla Railway

The Kalka Shimla railway line is a great achievement of human ingenuity. It provides a completely unique view of the Shivalik hills and the towns it passes by.
Started in 1903, this 110 year old engineering marvel is today a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the Darjeeling and Nilgiri Mountain Railways.
This 96 km long narrow gauge track was one of the better gifts that the British gave to us Indians.
A total of 107 tunnels were built but in 1930 they were numbered again as some of the tunnels were not in use and the total number came down to 103.
Later tunnel 46 at Solan brewery was demolished and today only 102 are active. There are 889 bridges and 919 total turns.
The rise in altitude is from 656 meters above sea level at Kalka to 2076 meters at Shimla.

Very nice ambience... View from the balcony is very nice... Quality of food is very good.... But there is one problem which I have to mention is that if the electricity goes off, they don't switch on the generator.... We stayed in dark for hours....

The rooms, service, price and food, all were great. We will definitely visit again. However the only drawback was the generator service which doesn't start swiftly in case of power failure.
